As I sit here writing this (shortly before my BIG 40th Birthday) I am honored and amazed that I was chosen to be November’s Boudoir Beauty! My story is simple: I was young, made many many mistakes along my journey and learned, in spite of it all, that I loved myself.
This has not always been easy for me. My first marriage was a disaster, and not the “fairytale” young girls dream of. However, I had three amazing children from that marriage. Three boys ages, 16, 15 and 11. After finding new strength in 2002, I divorced and made huge strides in the way I actually “felt” about myself. In 2003 I met an amazing man, who made me (and still makes me) want to be a better woman, wife, mom, friend, daughter and sister. Even with all of my learned insecurities, this man, pursued me and became my best friend.
In 2005 we were married. Our wedding WAS a “fairytale” surrounded by our loving family and friends, on the beautiful beach of Troncones, Mexico. This was a dream come true! This man loved my three boys, just as if they were his own. In 2007, we had a son of our own, who is now 4. When our son was 6 months old, I was shopping with my mother-in-law (Hi Patti!) when I had a vision… I was holding the hand of my daughter! I heard as plain as day “You are to adopt your daughter!” I came home and told my husband and he thought I was crazy. We had 4 boys, one of them being a newborn. However, we listened, we prayed and in May of 2009 we brought home our daughter Gracie (now 3) from Ethiopia. This was one crazy journey we were on! Lots of little bumps along the way, but it has been the most rewarding experience of our lives. Gracie radiates sunshine wherever she goes. In December of 2010, my amazing husband adopted the three older boys! What a a life changing moment for our family!
Now I know you may be thinking, this woman, has it all together, but that is just the opposite. I have struggled, had many years of despising myself for the way I looked, the choices I made. After some intensive therapy I realized this is who I am. My size or looks do not define me. I am perfect just the way God made me. When I heard about the Bodacious Beauty, I immediately thought, “I have to do this!” I want to give my husband the gift of his life, something totally outside of the box for both of us! When I first met the ladies at Bodacious Beauty for my photo shoot, I felt like I had known them for years, I was comfortable and I was ready to feel like the sexiest lady alive!
After my shoot was over, I made my appointment to come back and preview the shoot! Wow, I could not believe I was actually that woman in those photos! I decided to order a book (for my husband’s eyes only!) and a calendar for him at work. Since he is a firefighter I decided the calendar was a great way for him to “show” me off without getting too risqué. He will be proud and absolutely LOVE how they turned out!
Throughout my life, I have had wonderful women to look up to, strong and loving women who gave everything they did with all their hearts and soul. One female icon I have is Catharine Zeta Jones. She is strong, but amazingly beautiful and not afraid to show people her TRUE self. We all have flaws, things we wish we could change, whether physical, mental or spiritual. Her life has not been easy, yet she continues to push through it all and let down her guard when needed.
I am proud to be a woman and proud to be a wife, sister, friend and mom just the way that I am! I loved my time with Bodacious Beauty and am so excited to see the growth of their company and know that I have met more wonderful ladies I consider my friends.
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows and the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.” -Audrey Hepburn
Cheers and love,
Stacey

I met the beautiful Tina Adler in September of 2010 at her daughter’s birthday party. Never in a million years would I have thought that she was sick. She looked so healthy, and had such a bubbly and joyful personality.
But then again, what does Cancer’s face really look like?
Tina was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer in February of that year. After being diagnosed, Tina gracefully entered into the fight of her life. From the beginning of our friendship, Tina and I adored each other. It was after I got more familiar with her story that I realized what a remarkable woman she really is.
The most interesting quality about Tina in this run for her life, so to speak, is the amazing calmness and peace to her aura. While at a chemo appointment with her (which was an eye-opening experience in itself), Tina was able to give me her complete and undivided attention. She actually took it upon herself to make our visit almost like a therapy session for me! I’m not really sure how she did that, but it made me look at my entire life and how much there is to be grateful for. One of Tina’s favorite quotes she told me that day, is “The juice ain’t worth the squeeze.” WOW ….this little saying made me think twice about a lot of things in my life.
I am a true believer that God brings people into our lives for reasons. We have the choice to accept everyone we encounter as a gift and opportunity to learn, or to deny them and therefore miss out on this gift. Tina has shown me that life has to be taken by storm and sucked dry, because the moment is all we have.
Losing my father suddenly three years ago left me with so many questions about life, about people, and about dying. I truly feel that because of my experience with losing someone so close to me, I have been able to give Tina insight about what the other side might look like and how to prepare her family for her departing. In return, she has given me so much insight about how to live in the present.

I think we both agree that the way in which God is allowing her to say goodbye, although it is still so hard, might be an easier way to say goodbye to our loved ones.
Her strength, determination to live, her grace, and her love for every person she has touched, makes her so beautiful from the inside out. She is Remarkable, Bold and Unmistakable…She truly IS a Bodacious Beauty in every sense of the word. She has made crystal clear the reason she came in my life, and for that I thank her with all my heart.
Though her battle is getting more difficult every day, she was able sit down with me and discuss this article about her. We sat together, and we cried together, and we pondered all the reasons why God has brought us into each other’s lives, and I have written about only a fraction of these reasons.
As of print, Tina is still with us. To find out more about how you can help her cause, her family, or to just be a part of this magnificent human being, please visit her Caring Bridge blog here: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/tinaadler

“Do not wait to show love and speak love, and see the blessings all around you. Do not wait to say ‘I love you.’ Do not wait to open your heart to those whom you treasure. Being diagnosed with terminal cancer, I realized I may have waited too long and time is running out. I am taking so many meds, just to see one more day. It sounds like a cliché, but live each day as your last. Inspire others to do the same. Fight for what you love, and love unconditionally what you are fighting for. God won’t build a mountain you can’t climb.”

Bridal boudoir photography is becoming particularly popular in the wedding industry. Our Bombshell Brides usually choose an album for their new husband showcasing their favorite pictures. Other common purposes are to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, weight loss, maternity, any form of body change or alteration, and for soldiers overseas. It makes a great gift for yourself too!
